Shabbat is also a rest period. Your focus should be to return  to your creator with all of your heart, with all of your soul and with all of your strength.

A good comodity to invest in is a thermos. You can brew herbal teas in the winter and feast on it all day long. Thermos comes in different sizes. You can get a large one if you have a big family. There is also a gallon size or a 1/2 gallon size out there. I used one when I had young children. Some are good at keeping the heat in and Some let that heat out.

Invest in a good one and it will service you for a lifetime.

Live foods are easy to prepare. Revive your health. Grand lunch and dinners aren't always the most nutritional diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables are among the most nutritional diets. If you have children buy lots of oranges, bananas, apples, strawberries, nuts, etc.. Encourage them to pick at fruits instead of candy.

Teach your children to love fruits.
